Conor McGregor checked in to the W Abu Dhabi hotel on Monday evening and the UFC superstar was given a special welcome.
The Irishman, 32, makes his return to the Octagon at UFC 257 on Sunday morning, when he takes on American Dustin Poirier at lightweight. The pair previously fought back in 2014 at featherweight, with McGregor claiming a first round KO win.
Ahead of the rematch, both fighters need to undergo a quarantine period in their hotel rooms and McGregor started his on Monday after arriving on Yas Island.
Upon pulling up to the W Abu Dhabi in a Rolls Royce, McGregor was greeted by staff in hazmat suits, with one chanting "The Notorious is in the house!" McGregor, dressed only in trousers and wearing a face mask, recognised their welcome before carrying his son out of the car and into the hotel lobby.
The former two-weight UFC champion had made his way from Dubai to Abu Dhabi on a luxury yacht, where he posted photos of himself meditating on Monday.
He also uploaded a photo of the new Etihad Arena where Sunday's show will take place and where around 2,000 fans will be present to watch his first fight in more than a year.
