The inaugural event in the new Global Titans Fight Series will take place next month in Dubai, at a rather notable location and featuring some of the most prominent names in combat sports. Here are the details.

What?

Global Titans Dubai – the first stop in a new series of fight nights comprising stars from the world of boxing and mixed martial arts.

Billed as the world’s first NFT (non-fungible token) pay-per-view sports event, the tagline reads: “The Showcase in the Skies of Dubai”. It comprises four boxing bouts, combining both exhibition fights and a world title clash.

When?

May 14 – from 10pm.

Where?

The helipad, Burj Al Arab.

Who?

The card is headlined by an exhibition bout between unbeaten former five-time world champion Floyd Mayweather (50-0) and “Dangerous” Don Moore, who like his lofty rival, is undefeated (19 pro bouts, the most recent coming in 2016).

The bill features another exhibition fight, with retired UFC great Anderson Silva against current UAE Warriors lightweight champion Bruno Machado, while former two-time world champion boxer Badou Jack takes on Egypt’s Hany Atiyo.

The night does boast a world championship bout, when former WBC female lightweight champion Delfine Persoon competes for another title. The Belgian boxer’s opponent will be confirmed this week.

How to watch in UAE?

The event is open to attend to a select few – as of Tuesday, organisers say there are only 10 of 40 ringside seats remaining - but is also available via an exclusive livestream pay-per-view for NFT ticket holders.

The NFT ticket includes limited-edition 3D collectibles that can be traded, special video content and official media from the event.

The show will be broadcast as well on pay-per-view on LIVENow and via a selection of other international broadcasters. In the UAE and Mena region, Starzplay will livestream the event at no extra cost to subscribers. For more information, go to www.global-titans.com.
