Kevin Youkilis' three-run homer lifted the American League Central-leading Chicago White Sox to a 7-5 victory over the Boston Red Sox at Fenway Park on Tuesday.
Youkilis, traded to Chicago by Boston less than a month ago, connected in the fourth inning to frustrate his former teammates and earn the White Sox their eighth win in 11 games.
Andruw Jones also had a three-run homer on Tuesday, and CC Sabathia threw six shutout innings, as the AL East-leading New York Yankees overcame the Toronto Blue Jays 6-1.

NL West-leading San Francisco hammered the Atlanta Braves 9-0, Buster Posey driving in five runs including a three-run double in the fourth inning for the Giants.
Carlos Lee hit a grand slam in the Miami Marlins' 9-5 success against the Chicago Cubs, while Johnny Cueto pitched six scoreless innings in the Cincinnati Reds' 4-0 win over the Arizona Diamondbacks.
Elsewhere in the National League on Tuesday, the Pittsburgh Pirates beat the Colorado Rockies 6-2, the Milwaukee Brewers scraped past the St Louis Cardinals 3-2, the San Diego Padres won 8-2 against the Houston Astros and the Philadelphia Phillies edged out the Los Angeles Dodgers 3-2.

SUNDERLAND 2002-03

ASTON VILLA 2015-16
Perhaps the most inexplicably bad season, considering they signed Idrissa Gueye and Adama Traore and still only got 17 points. Villa won their first league game, but none of the next 19. They ended an abominable campaign by taking one point from the last 39 available.
FULHAM 2018-19
Terrible in different ways. Fulham’s total of 26 points is not among the lowest ever but they contrived to get relegated after spending over £100 million (Dh457m) in the transfer market. Much of it went on defenders but they only kept two clean sheets in their first 33 games.
