MLB round-up: Magnificent seven from Mariners as Hernandez dominates Rangers

Felix Hernandez hurled a complete-game shutout to lead the Seattle Mariners to a 7-0 win over the Texas Rangers.

Hernandez was utterly dominant, striking out 12 and allowing just three hits without walking a batter.

John Jaso homered off Rangers All Star Yu Darvish, who surrendered seven runs in 6 1/3 innings.

Robinson Cano hit a two-run shot, extending his hitting streak to 17 games as the New York Yankees beat the Los Angeles Angels 5-3.

Curtis Granderson also homered for the Yankees as the team with the best record in baseball kept rolling.

Andrew McCutchen went yard for the third straight game to help the Pittsburgh Pirates beat the Houston Astros 6-4.

Casey McGehee also homered for the Pirates.

Everth Cabrera stole home as the San Diego Padres scored twice in the ninth in bizarre fashion to sneak a 7-6 win over the Los Angeles Dodgers.

Cabrera made his move from third when he spotted Kenley Jansen had turned his back, and when the Dodgers closer finally did throw to home plate it went over catcher AJ Ellis' head, allowing Will Venable to score the go-ahead run too.

Ryan Dempster extended his run of scoreless innings to 33 as he tossed six shutout frames in the Chicago Cubs' 4-1 win over the Arizona Diamondbacks.

David Price became the first American League pitcher to 12 wins as the Tampa Bay Rays rallied to beat the Boston Red Sox 5-3.

Taylor Teagarden, who only entered the game in the 11th, hit the first walk-off homer of his career in the 13th inning of the Baltimore Orioles' 8-6 win over the Detroit Tigers.

Ryan Ludwick also hit a walk-off shot in extras - this one in the 10th - as the Cincinnati Reds beat the St Louis Cardinals 3-2.

Alcides Escobar had his first two-homer game to help the Kansas City Royals beat the Chicago White Sox 6-3.

Edwin Encarnacion also smashed two home runs as the Toronto Blue Jays beat the Cleveland Indians 11-9.

The Atlanta Braves rallied with a three-run eighth for an 8-7 come-from-behind win over the New York Mets, their sixth victory in a row, while the San Francisco Giants edged past the Houston Astros 3-2 in the 12th.

The Oakland Athletics beat the Minnesota Twins 9-3, the Miami Marlins edged out the Washington Nationals 2-1 and the Philadelphia Phillies overcame the Colorado Rockies 8-5.

Real estate tokenisation project

Dubai launched the pilot phase of its real estate tokenisation project last month.

The initiative focuses on converting real estate assets into digital tokens recorded on blockchain technology and helps in streamlining the process of buying, selling and investing, the Dubai Land Department said.

Dubai’s real estate tokenisation market is projected to reach Dh60 billion ($16.33 billion) by 2033, representing 7 per cent of the emirate’s total property transactions, according to the DLD.
