Crystal Palace v Manchester United: United badly need to get back to winning ways, but first they have to at least find the net after three games without a goal. Encouragingly for them, Palace's mini run of form is over and both West Brom and Hull have won at Selhurst Park in recent weeks. Expect Robin van Persie to make up for lost time with a goal or two. PREDICTION: Man United, 2-0.
Leicester City v Southampton: Southampton's end-of-season blip (three defeats in five games) should not detract from what has been a fine 2014/15 for them. Earlier in the season, a trip to Leicester would have brought three points for them, but they will have to settle for a draw against a team who are likely to avoid the drop. PREDICTION: Draw, 1-1.
Everton v Sunderland: If Sunderland are to stay up, they need to focus on reaping as many points as possible from this game and their home match with Leicester, before two daunting trips to Arsenal and Chelsea. Everton were brilliant in their last home game – a 3-0 thumping of Manchester United – but their home form has been fairly patchy this season. Sunderland, the draw specialists, to get a point. PREDICTION: Draw, 1-1.
Aston Villa v West Ham United: Villa are 14th, but only two points from the relegation zone in a five-way battle to avoid the drop. They need one more win for comfort and, with Christian Benteke in red-hot form, they should get it against a West Ham team with just three away wins. PREDICTION: Villa, 1-0.
Hull City v Burnley: Burnley's season is ending in a whimper. They showed some life mid-season but two awful runs this season have sealed their fate. At the start of the campaign, they went six games without a win, scoring just once. And now they are in the middle of a six-game losing streak without a goal. PREDICTION: Hull, 2-0.
Newcastle United v West Bromwich Albion: What else could go wrong at Newcastle? The manager has lost the dressing room, the players have lost their fight, fans have lost patience. Eight defeats in a row sees them lurching towards the drop and the only solace is that, on paper, their run-in is easier than other clubs. But can anyone see them beating West Brom, fresh from victory at Old Trafford? No. PREDICTION: West Brom, 1-0.
Stoke City v Tottenham Hotspur: This has end-of-season goalless draw written all over it. Spurs ran out of steam in the second half of last week's defeat to Manchester City, with Christian Eriksen unusually subdued. Stoke really only have a top-10 place to fret about. PREDICTION: Draw, 0-0.
Manchester City v Queens Park Rangers: City should run riot here, against a QPR side who are just waiting for relegation to be confirmed. Sergio Aguero against the visitors' leaky defence? No contest. PREDICTION: Man City, 3-0.
Chelsea v Liverpool: Title won, job done. Chelsea can take their foot off the gas but Jose Mourinho is hardly likely to go about throwing points away either. He may rest a couple of players – Eden Hazard is a prime candidate to start on the bench having played every league game this season – but Chelsea will still go for the win, just maybe not a full pelt. Liverpool have been fairly toothless up front in recent weeks and will find it tough to penetrate a defence led by John Terry. PREDICTION: Chelsea, 1-0.
Arsenal v Swansea City: Arsene Wenger's men are in pole position to clinch second place with a game in hand on Manchester City. In Alexis Sanchez, Arsenal have one of the players of the season and he is in top form at the moment. Expect Arsenal to score at will. PREDICTION: Arsenal, 3-0.

Real estate tokenisation project
Dubai launched the pilot phase of its real estate tokenisation project last month.
The initiative focuses on converting real estate assets into digital tokens recorded on blockchain technology and helps in streamlining the process of buying, selling and investing, the Dubai Land Department said.
Dubai’s real estate tokenisation market is projected to reach Dh60 billion ($16.33 billion) by 2033, representing 7 per cent of the emirate’s total property transactions, according to the DLD.

The flights

Mercer, the investment consulting arm of US services company Marsh & McLennan, expects its wealth division to at least double its assets under management (AUM) in the Middle East as wealth in the region continues to grow despite economic headwinds, a company official said.
Mercer Wealth, which globally has $160 billion in AUM, plans to boost its AUM in the region to $2-$3bn in the next 2-3 years from the present $1bn, said Yasir AbuShaban, a Dubai-based principal with Mercer Wealth.
“Within the next two to three years, we are looking at reaching $2 to $3 billion as a conservative estimate and we do see an opportunity to do so,” said Mr AbuShaban.
Mercer does not directly make investments, but allocates clients’ money they have discretion to, to professional asset managers. They also provide advice to clients.
“We have buying power. We can negotiate on their (client’s) behalf with asset managers to provide them lower fees than they otherwise would have to get on their own,” he added.
Mercer Wealth’s clients include sovereign wealth funds, family offices, and insurance companies among others.
From its office in Dubai, Mercer also looks after Africa, India and Turkey, where they also see opportunity for growth.
Wealth creation in Middle East and Africa (MEA) grew 8.5 per cent to $8.1 trillion last year from $7.5tn in 2015, higher than last year’s global average of 6 per cent and the second-highest growth in a region after Asia-Pacific which grew 9.9 per cent, according to consultancy Boston Consulting Group (BCG). In the region, where wealth grew just 1.9 per cent in 2015 compared with 2014, a pickup in oil prices has helped in wealth generation.
BCG is forecasting MEA wealth will rise to $12tn by 2021, growing at an annual average of 8 per cent.
Drivers of wealth generation in the region will be split evenly between new wealth creation and growth of performance of existing assets, according to BCG.
Another general trend in the region is clients’ looking for a comprehensive approach to investing, according to Mr AbuShaban.
“Institutional investors or some of the families are seeing a slowdown in the available capital they have to invest and in that sense they are looking at optimizing the way they manage their portfolios and making sure they are not investing haphazardly and different parts of their investment are working together,” said Mr AbuShaban.
Some clients also have a higher appetite for risk, given the low interest-rate environment that does not provide enough yield for some institutional investors. These clients are keen to invest in illiquid assets, such as private equity and infrastructure.
“What we have seen is a desire for higher returns in what has been a low-return environment specifically in various fixed income or bonds,” he said.
“In this environment, we have seen a de facto increase in the risk that clients are taking in things like illiquid investments, private equity investments, infrastructure and private debt, those kind of investments were higher illiquidity results in incrementally higher returns.”
The Abu Dhabi Investment Authority, one of the largest sovereign wealth funds, said in its 2016 report that has gradually increased its exposure in direct private equity and private credit transactions, mainly in Asian markets and especially in China and India. The authority’s private equity department focused on structured equities owing to “their defensive characteristics.”

Key battle - Azhar Ali v Rangana Herath Herath may not quite be as flash as Muttiah Muralitharan, his former spin-twin who ended his career by taking his 800th wicket with his final delivery in Tests. He still has a decent sense of an ending, though. He won the Abu Dhabi match for his side with 11 wickets, the last of which was his 400th in Tests. It was not the first time he has owned Pakistan, either. A quarter of all his Test victims have been Pakistani. How much of your income do you need to save?
The more you save, the sooner you can retire. Tuan Phan, a board member of SimplyFI.com, says if you save just 5 per cent of your salary, you can expect to work for another 66 years before you are able to retire without too large a drop in income.
In other words, you will not save enough to retire comfortably. If you save 15 per cent, you can forward to another 43 working years. Up that to 40 per cent of your income, and your remaining working life drops to just 22 years. (see table)
Obviously, this is only a rough guide. How much you save will depend on variables, not least your salary and how much you already have in your pension pot. But it shows what you need to do to achieve financial independence.
