Manny Malhotra got his first two goals of the season as the San Jose Sharks beat the Philadelphia Flyers 4-1 on Sunday.
Patrick Marleau and Dan Boyle had two assists each and back up goalie Thomas Greiss stopped 37 shots for the Sharks, who won for the fourth time in five games.
Dany Heatley and Jed Ortmeyer also scored. Darroll Powe scored the lone goal for the Flyers, while the Philadelphia goalie, Brian Boucher, stopped 24 shots in his first start of the season.
The Flyers' captain, Mike Richards, was in the line up after having been cleared by the NHL for a hard hit on the Florida left wing David Booth in a 5-1 win over the Panthers on Saturday.
At Los Angeles, Anze Kopitar and Alexander Frolov each scored twice and Jarret Stoll had a goal and an assist as the Kings beat the Columbus Blue Jackets 6-2.
Michael Handzus also scored for the Kings, whose fourth victory in a row matched their longest winning streak of last season.
Jonathan Quick stopped 24 shots - including a penalty shot by Rick Nash in the first period - in his first start since signing a three-year contract extension.
Antoine Vermette and Kristian Huselius scored for the Blue Jackets, who completed their trip 1-3 after a franchise-best 5-1-0 start that included a 4-1 win over the Kings.
In Vancouver, Roberto Luongo made 27 saves for his first shutout of the season to lead the Canucks to a 2-0 victory over the Edmonton Oilers. The rookie Michael Grabner and Henrik Sedin scored on deflections for the Canucks, who have won three games in a row for the first time this season. Luongo played for a second consecutive night after making 35 saves in a 3-1 win over Toronto and continued to show he is over an early season slump.
