Sir Henry Cecil's unbeaten colt Frankel picked up a "superficial" injury when working in Newmarket yesterday morning.
Winner of all nine of his starts, including the 2000 Guineas, St James's Palace Stakes and Queen Elizabeth II Stakes last season, he was due to make his comeback this term in the JLT Lockinge Stakes at Newbury Racecourse in England on May 19.
Frankel has injured his off-fore and will be monitored daily. In a statement through owner Khalid Abdullah's Juddmonte Farms operation, Cecil said: "He is such an extravagant mover that he hit himself.
"At this stage the injury looks superficial but he will be kept monitored over the next few days."
Meanwhile, So You Think will be retired towards the end of the northern hemisphere flat season and will join Coolmore Stud in Australia.
Trained by Aidan O'Brien in Ireland, So You Think finished fourth to Godolphin's Monterosso in the Dubai World Cup last month at Meydan Racecourse but could be given several chances to go out on a high.
The son of High Chaparral is slated to clash twice with Frankel, the world's highest-rated thoroughbred. So You Think is also entered to contest next month's Lockinge.
So You Think could then run in the Coral Eclipse Stakes at Sandown Racecourse in July, a race he won last season and one which has been earmarked as a possible for Frankel should the horse be fit and his trainer decide to step up his miler to 10 furlongs.
From there, So You Think, a six-year-old, would have to enter quarantine in order to make the cut for the breeding season in the southern hemisphere, where he won five Group 1 races and is set to join several thoroughbred stars at stud.
Coolmore Stud tweeted: "New stallions to consider when buying a mare next week - So You Think will join the roster in Sept after racing, Musir, Zoffany & Uncle Mo."
Musir, who was bred by Sheikh Mohammed bin Khalifa and trained by Mike de Kock, won the first round of the Al Maktoum Challenge at Meydan in January and the Al Rashidiya two weeks later. Those wins were built on his success in the UAE Derby last year on World Cup night, and his racing career ended there this year when sixth to Cityscape in the Dubai Sheema Classic.

The Al Burda Festival is a celebration of Islamic art and culture, featuring talks, performances and exhibitions. Organised by the Ministry of Culture and Knowledge Development, this one-day event opens with a session on the future of Islamic art. With this in mind, it is followed by a number of workshops and “masterclass” sessions in everything from calligraphy and typography to geometry and the origins of Islamic design. There will also be discussions on subjects including ‘Who is the Audience for Islamic Art?’ and ‘New Markets for Islamic Design.’ A live performance from Kuwaiti guitarist Yousif Yaseen should be one of the highlights of the day.

Elizabeth Watson, a personal trainer from Stay Fit gym in Abu Dhabi suggests that “individuals can use social media as a means of keeping fit, there are a lot of great exercises you can do and train from experts at home just by watching videos on YouTube”.
Norlyn Torrena, a clinical nutritionist from Burjeel Hospital advises her clients to be more technologically active “most of my clients are so engaged with their phones that I advise them to download applications that offer health related services”.
Torrena said that “most people believe that dieting and keeping fit is boring”.
However, by using social media apps keeping fit means that people are “modern and are kept up to date with the latest heath tips and trends”.
“It can be a guide to a healthy lifestyle and exercise if used in the correct way, so I really encourage my clients to download health applications” said Mrs Torrena.
People can also connect with each other and exchange “tips and notes, it’s extremely healthy and fun”.
