The Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship is one of four Rolex Series events and kicks off the 2021 European Tour season next week.

Here's all you need to know.

What is it?

The Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship is the capital's flagship golf tournament now in its 16th edition. It opens the European Tour’s Desert Swing, with the Omega Dubai Desert Classic and the Saudi International powered by SoftBank Investment Advisers running on consecutive weeks after.

Where is it?

The Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship is held each year on the National Course at Abu Dhabi Golf Club in Khalifa City A.

When is it?

The year's tournament will be held from January 21-24.

Who is playing?

Lee Westwood is back in the capital to defend his Falcon Trophy while major champions Rory McIlroy, Justin Thomas, Martin Kaymer, Shane Lowry, Graeme McDowell, Justin Rose, Henrik Stenson, Danny Willett and Padriag Harrington are just some of the names making up a stellar field.

World No 10 Tyrrell Hatton and 2020 DP World Tour Championship champion Matthew Fitzpatrick are also confirmed to tee up alongside Ryder Cup heroes Tommy Fleetwood, Ian Poulter and victorious 2018 European captain Thomas Bjorn.

How much prize money?

To be staged for the 16th time, the Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship will carry a purse of $8 million, an increase of $1m from this year.

Can fans attend?

Golf fans can enjoy access to Cade 302 for Dh365 per person on Thursday, then Dh999 across the weekend and Dh899 on Sunday's final day.

The package includes access to the National Course for one day, live TV coverage of the event, high tea and house beverages.
Across the weekend you can also enjoy packages at the Clubhouse with deals from Dh365 on Thursday and Sunday, and Dh399 on Friday and Saturday.
