Poet's Voice, Godolphin's Group 1-winning colt, has the Betfair Celebration Mile at Goodwood as a potential comeback target.
The four-year-old ran away with the Group 2 contest last year and used that race as a platform for the Queen Elizabeth II Stakes, where he beat Rip Van Winkle in a thrilling finish.
He disappointed when last seen contesting the US$10million (Dh36m) Dubai World Cup but a return to racing in Europe is not far away for the horse trained by Saeed bin Suroor.
"We're looking forward to seeing him back," said the Godolphin racing manager Simon Crisford.
"We gave him a long time off after the Dubai World Cup and he will probably come back to Goodwood for the Celebration Mile."
Meanwhile, surgeons were deciding this morning whether to operate on Ryan Moore's broken humerus.
The three-time champion jockey damaged his upper arm and broke his thumb in a nasty fall at Glorious Goodwood yesterday that could rule him out for the rest of the season.
He is being tended to at St Richard's Hospital in Chichester after being brought down when riding the Sir Michael Stoute-trained Verdant in the Toyo Tires Summer Handicap.
"The consultant has seen him and they were just waiting to decide what they are going to do as they don't know whether to operate on the shoulder," said his father, the West Sussex trainer Gary Moore.
"They are going to pin the thumb and I think they are probably going to pin the shoulder as well, but they weren't quite sure.
"He was supposed to have the operation done last night, but there was a serious road accident in the area."
The injury is a big blow to the rider. He is not only retained by Stoute but has also become a leading choice for Aidan O'Brien in the absence of a stable jockey at Ballydoyle.
Moore had begun the day in third place in the jockeys' championship behind the current title-holder Paul Hanagan and Silvestre de Sousa.

Real estate tokenisation project
Dubai launched the pilot phase of its real estate tokenisation project last month.
The initiative focuses on converting real estate assets into digital tokens recorded on blockchain technology and helps in streamlining the process of buying, selling and investing, the Dubai Land Department said.
Dubai’s real estate tokenisation market is projected to reach Dh60 billion ($16.33 billion) by 2033, representing 7 per cent of the emirate’s total property transactions, according to the DLD.
