Former Argentina manager and player Edgardo Bauza agreed to terms this week to replace Mahdi Ali as the manager of the UAE national football team.
Bauza takes over a team hanging on by a thread in their hopes to qualify for the 2018 World Cup. He has signed on to manage the national team through at least to the conclusion of the 2019 Asian Cup, which takes place in the UAE.
