Fulham post could tempt Eriksson

Athole Still, the agent of Sven-Goran Eriksson, the former England and Manchester City manager, has conceded his client could be tempted by the vacancy at Fulham but confirmed there had been no contact with the London club. Eriksson has "unfinished business" in the Premier League following his sacking by City in 2008, according to Still. Asked if the Swede, who is available following the end of his contract with Ivory Coast after the World Cup, could be interested in a move to Craven Cottage, Still told Radio Five Live: "It's a very attractive club, not just for Sven-Goran Eriksson."

But, he added, there has been "no contact whatsoever". Nemanja Vidic has committed his long-term future to Manchester United, according to David Gill, the chief executive. The Serbia defender's current deal is up in two years but an extension to his contract has been agreed. Gill told MUTV: "I am very pleased to confirm that we agreed terms with Nemanja on a long-term deal with the club." Sunderland have signed Titus Bramble from Wigan on a three-year contract.

Steve Bruce, the Sunderland manager who coached Bramble for two seasons at Wigan, said Bramble has "matured into a very, very good player". Wigan yesterday completed the signing of James McArthur, the 22-year-old Scottish midfielder, from Hamilton for four years for an undisclosed fee. Harry Redknapp, the Tottenham manager, has confirmed he is trying to sign a goalkeeper on loan. Redknapp revealed his interest in Croatia's Stipe Pletikosa earlier this week. On the prospect of another keeper arriving at White Hart Lane, Redknapp told Sky Sports News: "That's a possibility, we're looking to take a loan there.I've got [Heurelho] Gomes and I've got Carlo [Cudicini], which is good, but I feel we need three keepers."
