ABU DHABI // Al Jazira travel to Dubai for their President's Cup quarter-final clash with Ajman in a buoyant mood after their derby victory over city rivals Al Wahda.
Franky Vercauteren, the coach, said the win will give his side the momentum to progress in the knockout competition.
"It was a very important result that has put us straight back in the Pro League title race and to travel with a lot of confidence for the next game," he said. "I watched Ajman's last two games. They are a very efficient side, and were beaten only by a late goal against Al Shabab [0-1] and they won the next convincingly over Sharjah [3-1]. They are surely a difficult team to play because they don't let you play. They mark man-to-man and are quick on the counter-attack. They have also got the motivation because they may feel this is a competition they can win."
Vercauteren said he was pleased with his team's performance in the Abu Dhabi derby.
"I would like to see the team continue the same way we played the last game," he said. "Some say we were lucky, but I believe we can't be lucky if we have the quality."
Juma Abdulla is serving a one-match ban, but Salem Masoud returns for Jazira after missing the last game through suspension.

Real estate tokenisation project
Dubai launched the pilot phase of its real estate tokenisation project last month.
The initiative focuses on converting real estate assets into digital tokens recorded on blockchain technology and helps in streamlining the process of buying, selling and investing, the Dubai Land Department said.
Dubai’s real estate tokenisation market is projected to reach Dh60 billion ($16.33 billion) by 2033, representing 7 per cent of the emirate’s total property transactions, according to the DLD.
