Rangers have been crowned Scottish Premiership champions for the first time since 2011 after Celtic were held to a goalless draw at Dundee United.
Steven Gerrard thus claimed the first major league title of his managerial career, with Rangers now holding an unassailable 20-point lead in the league table.
Rangers were consigned to Scotland's fourth tier back in 2012 after financial collapse, but have rebuilt steadily – and have now denied Celtic a record-breaking 10th consecutive top-flight crown.
Rangers cruised past St. Mirren 3-0 at Ibrox on Saturday, which brought the title in sight.
"This club has been to hell and back over the past 10 years," said Gerrard after Saturday's win.
"I've only been part of it for three, but I can certainly relate and I've got that feeling and that affection with the fans and I know what they have been through."
Celtic's failure to find a winner at Tannadice gifted Rangers the silverware.
Former England and Liverpool captain Gerrard had never won a league title during his legendary 17-year career at Anfield.
However, Gerrard has transformed Rangers' fortunes both domestically and in Europe since taking his first senior managerial role in 2018.
The newly crowned Scottish champions have reached the last 16 of the Europa League for the second consecutive season, where they face Slavia Prague on Thursday.
