Pep Guardiola believes his Manchester City team can learn from this season and be stronger next term.
The Premier League title is almost within City's grasp but their 3-2 defeat to Manchester United last weekend delayed celebrations.
A Champions League quarter-final exit at the hands of Liverpool also came as a major blow.
But Guardiola said on Friday: "We did a better season than last season. We will be back and try to be stronger next season. This club is absolutely amazing."
City's European hopes were destroyed by home and away defeats at the hands of Liverpool. A 3-0 loss at Anfield was followed by a 2-1 defeat at the Etihad Stadium, resulting in an aggregate outcome heavily in favour of Jurgen Klopp's Reds.
"I said after the game congratulations to Liverpool," Guardiola said. "When you lose 5-1 you cannot say anything else."

Guardiola was charged with two counts of misconduct by Uefa following the second Liverpool game.
He was sent to the stands at half-time in Tuesday's match for complaining to referee Antonio Mateu Lahoz over a disallowed Leroy Sane goal.
The first charge relates to his exchange with Lahoz and the second concerns a potential breach of regulations which forbid dismissed managers from communicating with the bench.
He may be facing a touchline ban, and said: "I will accept the punishment from UEFA if next season we start without the manager there."
Striker Sergio Aguero will miss Saturday's Premier League match against Tottenham Hotspur at Wembley as he remains troubled by a knee injury, Guardiola said.
