James Maddison, 6 - The England star had a few nice passages of play but still appeared to be a bit rusty at Old Trafford. AP
MANCHESTER UNITED RATINGS: David de Gea, 7 - First league start since the end of February having lost his place to Dean Henderson. Luke Thomas’s stunning opener would have beaten any goalkeeper. Tipped Tieleman’s cross over, but his best moment was a save from Iheanacho. Faced 12 shots - his own team managed only 4. AP
Brandon Williams, 6 - Rare start and one of ten United changes as he replaced Wan Bissaka at right back. Tested against and lost possession a few times. Needs to get back to the levels when he first broke into the team last season, but his stock has fallen since and it’s hard to see him getting sustained chances. AFP
Axel Tuanzebe, 7 - Rapid in stopping the fleet-heeled Vardy, his passing wasn’t 100 per cent but took up correct positions. Improved as the game went on and one of United’s better performers. Reuters
Eric Bailly, 6 - Played alongside Tuanzebe – the first time Harry Maguire wasn’t in the centre of United’s defence for almost two years.
Kept busy by Vardy. Couple of poor passes. Recently rewarded with a new contract, but it’s currently doubtful that he’s the future of United’s central defence. Getty
Alex Telles, 6 - Like Williams, heavily pressured by Leicester. Fast free-kick towards Greenwood after 54 minutes was the best moment from the Brazilian. Solid in the air. Reuters
Nemanja Matic, 7 - Stand in captain and justified the role. Poor for Leicester’s superb opener, but then hit a long ball to turn defence into attack for United’s equaliser. Stabilising influence in the middle. Stood firm against onslaught and saw more of the ball than any United player, but static for Leicester’s second and he didn’t have the legs to do more. AP
Donny van de Beek, 6 - Played just 15 minutes of league football in the least ten weeks and hardly impressed when he’s started cup games. More of the same against Leicester and gave Maddison too much time in getting a late shot off. He’s looked average at best in his first season in England. Reuters
Juan Mata, 6 - Neat, tidy but hardly effective. The 33-year-old moved right later on. He’s enjoyed a fine career, but his future isn’t at Old Trafford. EPA
Anthony Elanga, 7 - Nineteen-year-old Swedish debutant. Played on the left and made runs and a couple of sharp turns, though he was moved off the ball as he realised just how big the gap is between under 23 and first team football. AP
Amad Diallo, 7 - Another young debutant starter and he set up Greenwood for the equaliser from the right – the first time two teenagers combined for a Premier League goal in fifteen years. Technically excellent in moments, quiet for the rest of the first half but more involved in the second. Good chance for him to see what it’s about and managed to leave Ndidi on the floor. AFP
Mason Greenwood, 7 - The only player to start from Sunday’s win against Villa. Brilliant finish with United’s first attack, taking a ball from Amad then quickly shifting right and then left and shooting past Schmeichel for his 8th goal in 11 games. “Played like a seasoned professional and he’s only 19,” said his manager. Reuters
SUBS: Marcus Rashford, 5 - On for Elanga. Straight on but wasn’t alert as Soyuncu headed Leicester ahead. Couple of runs on a night where United’s fifth defeat of the season meant the title went to City. AP
Edinson Cavani, 5 - On for Greenwood just before the corner which led to Leicester’s second. Unable to reproduce his recent heroics, but United fans are delighted that he’s staying for another season. AP
Bruno Fernandes, 5 - On for Elanga after 78. Unable to alter the scoreline as Leicester changed their wretched run. AP
LEICESTER RATINGS: Kasper Schmeichel, 5 - Could have done better for Greenwood’s goal and generally looked off the pace with his delivery. Getty
Timothy Castagne, 7 - Struggled to track his man at times but looked much more confident when static, mainly through his ability to stand attacking players up and force them into a decision. AP
Wesley Fofana, 8 - From his timing to his interceptions and overall defensive composure, this was an impressive outing for the Frenchman. AP
Caglar Soyuncu, 8 - After slowing Leicester down time and time again before being stuck in the mud for the equaliser, Soyuncu redeemed himself with a bullet header in the second half. Getty
Luke Thomas, 7 - The teenage sensation scored an excellent volley to give the Foxes the lead, although his defensive frailties were on display after he lost the ball for Greenwood’s equalising strike. Reuters
Marc Albrighton, 8 - After a nice pass over the top for the opener Albrighton seemed to fade away with poor pace and uneven decision making. However, he caught a second wind in the second half that ended with a divine assist for Soyuncu’s goal. AFP
Youri Tielemans, 8 - Fought tooth and nail to help see out the win for the visitors after a smart first half assist and a well-rounded performance. Reuters
Wilfred Ndidi, 6 - Started brightly and looked to be a real spark in midfield, although the mask did slip as the game went on with a few awkward challenges. PA
Ayoze Perez, 3 - It was the definition of an invisible day at the office for Ayoze Perez as he made next to no impact during his time on the pitch in Manchester. AP
Jamie Vardy, 6 - Tried to create space and chased down every ball, although it didn’t amount to any major opportunities for Leicester’s main man. AFP
Kelechi Iheanacho, 7 - Held the ball up well, brought others into the game and showcased an increased maturity that comes with his newly discovered confidence. Reuters
SUBS: Hamza Choudhury, N/A - Controlled the midfield and introduced a calm attitude to Leicester in the middle of the park. AFP
