Manchester City too good for Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester United triumph, while more misery for Arsenal at Brighton: Premier League predictions

We are into the final stretch of the Premier League campaign with 10 games of the season to go for the 20 sides. Here is a look at what to expect from the 29th round of games this weekend. Burnley 1 Everton 0 Saturday, 4.30pm Why? It is probably a sign of how good Sean Dyche's side were in the first half of the season that they are still seventh despite not winning December 12. They should have ended that winless run against Southampton last week but were denied by a last-minute equaliser. But they should get back to winning ways against an Everton side who have not won on their travels in their past five matches. Leicester City 2 Bournemouth 2 Saturday, 7pm Why? Both sides are good going forward, but less so defensively. Leicester will always carry a threat with Jamie Vardy, but Bournemouth showed great spirit in coming from behind to draw at Newcastle United last weekend. _________________ Read more _________________ Southampton 0 Stoke City 1 Saturday, 7pm Why? Stoke are second bottom and in desperate need of three points. They can get it at Southampton, who are only one point clear of them in 16th place. Paul Lambert has made Stoke more solid then they were under Mark Hughes and in Xherdan Shaqiri they have the quality to take the victory. Swansea City 2 West Ham United 1 Saturday, 7pm Why? The 4-1 loss at Brighton and Hove Albion was a surprise for Swansea given how well they have done under Carlos Carvalhal. They should bounce back here, moving out of the relegation zone in the process, against inconsistent West Ham. Tottenham Hotspur 4 Huddersfield Town 0 Saturday, 7pm Why? Tottenham thrashed Huddersfield in September and there is no reason why things should not be any different this time. Tottenham put six past Rochdale on Wednesday without the rested Kane, and with the England forward set to feature on Saturday there should be more goals going in. Watford 0 West Bromwich Albion 0 Saturday, 7pm Why? Albion are in big trouble and need to triumph. Watford have tightened up at the back under Javi Gracia, but apart from scoring four goals against 10-man Chelsea have struggled to find the net in their other games. A stalemate gets Watford closer to safety but does West Brom no favours. Liverpool 3 Newcastle United 0 Saturday, 9.30pm Why? Rafa Benitez's Newcastle have been impressive in defence this season, but that backline will be tested at Anfield. Mohamed Salah, Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane have caused trouble to better sides than Newcastle and this should be a comfortable win. Brighton and Hove Albion 2 Arsenal 1 Sunday, 5.30pm Why? It has been another dismal week for Arsenal and their underfire manager Arsene Wenger. It is unlikely to get any better on Sunday as they could be frustrated by Chris Hughton's well-organised Brighton, who have only lost three times at home all season and are well poised to inflict more misery on Wenger. Manchester City 3 Chelsea 1 Sunday, 8pm Why? It has been a hectic last couple of weeks for Pep Guardiola's City and Chelsea could be tough opponents. If Antonio Conte's men can find the form that saw them almost beat Barcelona they could get a share of the spoils at the Etihad Stadium. But City looked to be in scintillating form against Arsenal on Thursday, and with Leroy Sane back to full fitness they should be too good for Chelsea. Crystal Palace 1 Manchester United 2 Tuesday, 12am Why? Palace have not won in five games, and while United are on tremendous form themselves, Jose Mourinho will believe his squad, led by Alexis Sanchez, should have enough to take the points at Selhurst Park.
