Liverpool ended their Premier League season on a high after beating Crystal Palace 2-0 at Anfield.
Sadio Mane scored twice as the Reds finished third in the table to seal Champions League football for a fifth straight season.
Jurgen Klopp's side have hit by serious injuries to key players and struggled with dreadful home form this season and never looked like retaining their title.
But they rallied to win their final five league games – including a last-gasp goal by goalkeeper Alisson Becker to beat West Bromwich Albion – and force their back into the top four.
"It's outstanding. This season from the outside you cannot understand," said Klopp. "We are Liverpool. You have to win, to become champions, whatever, but it is not always possible.
"In the harder moments you can learn the most, show the most and we stuck together the whole time.
"We were constantly sorting problems. It was so nice we could use the last six weeks to turn this season around."

What is Reform?
Reform is a right-wing, populist party led by Nigel Farage, a former MEP who won a seat in the House of Commons last year at his eighth attempt and a prominent figure in the campaign for the UK to leave the European Union.

Real estate tokenisation project
Dubai launched the pilot phase of its real estate tokenisation project last month.
The initiative focuses on converting real estate assets into digital tokens recorded on blockchain technology and helps in streamlining the process of buying, selling and investing, the Dubai Land Department said.
Dubai’s real estate tokenisation market is projected to reach Dh60 billion ($16.33 billion) by 2033, representing 7 per cent of the emirate’s total property transactions, according to the DLD.

Pharaoh's curse
British aristocrat Lord Carnarvon, who funded the expedition to find the Tutankhamun tomb, died in a Cairo hotel four months after the crypt was opened.
He had been in poor health for many years after a car crash, and a mosquito bite made worse by a shaving cut led to blood poisoning and pneumonia.
Reports at the time said Lord Carnarvon suffered from “pain as the inflammation affected the nasal passages and eyes”.
Decades later, scientists contended he had died of aspergillosis after inhaling spores of the fungus aspergillus in the tomb, which can lie dormant for months. The fact several others who entered were also found dead withiin a short time led to the myth of the curse.
