Tottenham Hotspur supporters have called for long-time chairman Daniel Levy to step down following the European Super League debacle.

Spurs were one of six Premier League clubs to withdraw from the breakaway league on Tuesday, 48 hours after announcing they were one of its founding members.

Fans gathered outside the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium ahead of Wednesday's Premier league match against Southampton to protest against the club's top brass.

Banners saying 'Levy out' as well as signs calling for Enic, the investment group of billionaire Joe Lewis that owns a majority share of the North London club, dominated the landscape outside as Levy took his seat in the directors' box inside the stadium.

Tottenham won the match 2-1 thanks to a controversial late penalty from Son Heung-min.

Danny Ings opened the scoring with a first-half header before Gareth Bale equalised midway through the second.

The win moves Spurs up to sixth place on 53 points, two points behind Chelsea in fourth.
