Kylian Mbappe wrote his name in the record books on Wednesday as the Paris Saint-Germain striker became the youngest player to reach 25 Champions League goals.
Mbappe opened the scoring for PSG against Barcelona, netting from the penalty spot in the 31st minute of their last-16 second-leg clash before Lionel Messi equalised seven minutes later.
At 22 years and 80 days, Mbappe broke the previous quickest mark – set by Messi at age 22 years and 286 days.
Mbappe's strike was his fourth across the two-legged affair having notched a hat-trick in the 4-1 win at Camp Nou two previously.
The French World Cup winner's milestone comes a day after Borussia Dortmund's Erling Braut Haaland became the quickest player to reach 20 Champions League goals.
Haaland leads this season's Champions League scoring charts on 10 goals, while Mbappe has six along with Olivier Giroud, Alvaro Morata, Neymar, Marcus Rashford and Youssef En-Nesyri.

British aristocrat Lord Carnarvon, who funded the expedition to find the Tutankhamun tomb, died in a Cairo hotel four months after the crypt was opened.
He had been in poor health for many years after a car crash, and a mosquito bite made worse by a shaving cut led to blood poisoning and pneumonia.
Reports at the time said Lord Carnarvon suffered from “pain as the inflammation affected the nasal passages and eyes”.
Decades later, scientists contended he had died of aspergillosis after inhaling spores of the fungus aspergillus in the tomb, which can lie dormant for months. The fact several others who entered were also found dead withiin a short time led to the myth of the curse.
