Italian club Pescara have adopted a six-year-old boy's kit design for the next season.
Second tier side Pescara ran a competition giving youngsters an opportunity to design the club's shirt. Luigi D'Agostino won the competition that was aimed at kids stuck indoors during the coronavirus lockdown.
D'Agostino's design takes inspiration from the club's crest and features a dolphin. The club's mascot is a dolphin; they play in an Adriatic resort town famous for its beaches.
The new design will be worn by the Serie B team next season.
BBC reported that kit manufacturers Errea will make the shirts and have invited Luigi to spend a special day at their Parma headquarters, to see the new team kit getting made.
The competition was launched as a children's game but its popularity on social media turned it into a business proposition.
