Players may have only recently returned to their clubs to prepare for the new season, but for many preparations have been briefly interrupted by international duty.
The second Uefa Nations League gets under way on Thursday, headlined by a blockbuster contest between Germany and Spain in Stuttgart.
So while Europe's domestic leagues are scheduled to start in the next two weeks, players involved with their national teams are already taking time away.
Germany's squad, including Chelsea's new striker Timo Werner, winger Leroy Sane - recently signed by Bayern Munich from Manchester City - and Borussia Dortmund's Julian Brandt, took part in a training session at ADM-Sportpark on Monday ahead of the Nations League group opener against Spain.
