Chelsea salaries 2024/25: How much does Cole Palmer earn at Stamford Bridge?

It is all happening at Chelsea. The Blues will begin the new season with a new manager in Enzo Maresca, the latest coach tasked with getting the team up and running.

The new owners at Chelsea had decided to part ways with Mauricio Pochettino after just one season in charge. After a brief search, the club zeroed in on Maresca, bringing him in from Leicester City less than two weeks after Pochettino's exit as the fourth permanent manager in just two years.

Chelsea have again been extraordinarily active in the transfer market. However, they needed to recoup funds soon after splashing well over £1 billion in the past four transfer windows.

Conor Gallagher was expected to move to Atletico Madrid but that deal seems to have stalled. Armando Broja and Trevoh Chalobah are also garnering interest in the transfer market.

Chelsea's squad has ballooned with even more signings ahead of the new season. They signed Portuguese winger Pedro Neto from Wolves for a reported fee of £54m.

The 24-year-old becomes the Blues' ninth signing, with Chelsea spending around £185m in the past few months.

There is also uncertainty over the future of Romelu Lukaku and Raheem Sterling at Stamford Bridge, with the management desperate to balance the books and reduce a squad size approaching 50 players before the transfer window closes on August 30.

Chelsea, who finished sixth in the Premier League table, have done a few things right though. England forward Cole Palmer has signed a two-year contract extension with them, having joined from Manchester City last September.

Palmer had a superb campaign last season, scoring 22 Premier League goals before becoming a member of the England squad that reached the final of Euro 2024, where he scored an equaliser after coming off the bench in the loss to Spain. He was also named the Premier League's Young Player of the Season.
