Jarrod Bowen returned with a bang as West Ham United inflicted more away-day pain on Everton with a 2-1 victory.
The striker, back after a month out with a foot injury, hit his 13th goal of the season to floor a disappointed visiting manager Frank Lampard.
West Ham led through Aaron Cresswell’s spectacular free-kick but were pegged back by Mason Holgate’s deflected effort.
Everton boss Lampard had questioned his players’ attitude after they capitulated at Crystal Palace in the FA Cup last time out, and they folded again just five minutes after equalising when Bowen struck.
To compound Lampard’s misery they finished the match with 10 men after captain Michael Keane was sent off.
"Disappointment because we deserved at least a point from the game," Lampard told Sky Sports afterwards.
"At 1-1 I fancied us to score a second. There's a mistake and they break away and score. The reality is that we are in that kind of moment where everything is going against us - decisions, moments in games, red cards. I can't fault the players, their character, play generally. The performance was really positive and we have 10 games to perform like that again and more.
"We weren't so good at Palace but passion and desire has been there and this is a tough place to come. It is not going our way at the moment, but we have to keep working. It is not easy to take positives from no points but we have to take positives from the performance."
The travel-sick Everton still boast the worst away record in the country and are only one place above the drop zone in what has been a torrid season.
They could have taken the lead on the half-hour mark when Alex Iwobi slipped Richarlison in behind. The Brazilian nudged the ball round Hammers keeper Lukasz Fabianksi, but full-back Ryan Fredericks got back to clear the danger.
Moments later West Ham did go ahead, in sensational fashion. After Bowen was fouled by Holgate, Cresswell curled a stunning free-kick beyond the wall and Jordan Pickford into the top corner.
The equaliser came in the 53rd minute when an unconvincing punch from Fabianski at a corner fell to Holgate – who was only on the pitch after an injury to Donny Van De Beek in the warm-up.
The midfielder fired through a crowd of players and into the net with the help of a big deflection off the foot of Pablo Fornals.
But just five minutes later West Ham retook the lead when Bowen clipped home the rebound after Pickford saved Antonio’s shot.
Keane, booked in the first half for cynically pulling back Antonio as he was about to race clear, fouled the striker again with 25 minutes left to earn a second yellow card and cap another miserable road trip for Lampard.

What is dialysis?
Dialysis is a way of cleaning your blood when your kidneys fail and can no longer do the job.
It gets rid of your body's wastes, extra salt and water, and helps to control your blood pressure. The main cause of kidney failure is diabetes and hypertension.
There are two kinds of dialysis — haemodialysis and peritoneal.
In haemodialysis, blood is pumped out of your body to an artificial kidney machine that filter your blood and returns it to your body by tubes.
In peritoneal dialysis, the inside lining of your own belly acts as a natural filter. Wastes are taken out by means of a cleansing fluid which is washed in and out of your belly in cycles.
It isn’t an option for everyone but if eligible, can be done at home by the patient or caregiver. This, as opposed to home haemodialysis, is covered by insurance in the UAE.

- Promises of high, fixed or 'guaranteed' returns.
- Unregulated structured products or complex investments often used to bypass traditional safeguards.
- Lack of clear information, vague language, no access to audited financials.
- Overseas companies targeting investors in other jurisdictions - this can make legal recovery difficult.
- Hard-selling tactics - creating urgency, offering 'exclusive' deals.
