Two more former India batsmen who took part in the Road Safety World Series have tested positive for coronavirus.
Subramaniam Badrinath played for the victorious India Legends teams during the recently concluded veterans' T20 tournament in Raipur. On Sunday, he revealed he had tested positive for the virus.
“I have been taking all necessary precautions and have been getting tested regularly. However, I have tested positive for COVID-19 and have some mild symptoms,” Badrinath revealed on Twitter.
He is the third batsman from the team to test positive. India batting great Sachin Tendulkar had said on Saturday he had contracted the disease and has mild symptoms.
"I have been testing myself and taking all the recommended precautions to ensure COVID is kept at bay. However, I have tested positive today following mild symptoms," Tendulkar had said on Twitter.
"All others at home have tested negative. I have quarantined myself at home and I am following all the necessary protocols as advised by my doctors."
World Cup winner Yusuf Pathan also revealed his positive result on Saturday. Pathan was the player of the match in the final against Sri Lanka as he scored a fifty and picked up two wickets on March 21.
Matches in Raipur were played in front of thousands of fans, most of whom did not wear masks.
