The vast majority of the teams in the Abu Dhabi T10 limited themselves to just the bare minimum of one UAE player in their starting XIs again this season.
Maybe they are all missing a trick. Northern Warriors cruised to a second title in the space of three seasons on Saturday night.
They did so with three UAE-based players in their side for the final against Maratha Arabians.
Mohammed Wasim and Junaid Siddique in particular had been pillars of the title-winning campaign.
