Rajasthan Royals clinched victory from the jaws of defeat against Sunrisers Hyderabad on Sunday, and that was enough for an impromptu dance performance in Dubai.
Rahul Tewatia (45 from 28 balls) and Riyan Parag (42 from 26) added 85 runs for the fifth wicket as Rajasthan recovered from 78-5 to chase down Hyderabad's total of 158-4.
It was Tewatia who turned the match in Rajasthan's favour by hitting Rashid Khan for three successive fours in the 18th over. But the winning shot in the final over came from Parag, who thumped Khaleel Ahmed to six over covers with two needed from as many balls.
As the ball sailed over the boundary ropes, Parag celebrated with a 'bihu' jig. Parag, 18, hails from the north-eastern state of Assam in India and 'bihu' is the traditional form of dance from the state. Bihu is also among the three important Assamese festivals.
