PARIS // Usain Bolt will have sent shivers down the spines of his 100 metre rivals with the assessment of his form from the Golden League meeting heading into next month's World Championships. The triple Olympic gold medallist ran to a winning time of 9.79secs on Friday, but proceeded to list a number of factors preventing him from breaking his own word record of 9.69secs prior to going to Berlin.
They range from his poor starts out of the blocks to letting up at the end of races to his cautious approach for fear of getting injured. He also claims he has not yet achieved his full potential. The fact that the Jamaican ran such a time in cold, drizzly conditions - and into a slight headwind - at the Stade de France will be enough to worry all his rivals. Tyson Gay, whose time of 9.77secs is still the best for this year, looks to be the only man capable of beating Bolt. But even the American will be hard pressed to live with him if everything comes together for the 22-year-old sprinter in Germany.
"I'm at 85 per cent - there is more work for me to do," said Bolt. "It wasn't a perfect race but it was good enough for me." Bolt struggled out of the blocks, although his recovery and seemingly effortless cruise to the line was something to behold. And on his vigilant approach in the Paris rain, he said: "I had to be careful because I don't want to get injured. It's always in the back of my mind.
"You don't want to get injured at this time of the season leading up to the World Championships. You have to be cautious. But I felt good." Bolt confirmed his last race before the World Championships will come next week at Crystal Palace, where he will be up against compatriot Asafa Powell and Britain's Simeon Williamson. * With agencies

Teaching your child to save
Pre-school (three - five years)
You can’t yet talk about investing or borrowing, but introduce a “classic” money bank and start putting gifts and allowances away. When the child wants a specific toy, have them save for it and help them track their progress.
Early childhood (six - eight years)
Replace the money bank with three jars labelled ‘saving’, ‘spending’ and ‘sharing’. Have the child divide their allowance into the three jars each week and explain their choices in splitting their pocket money. A guide could be 25 per cent saving, 50 per cent spending, 25 per cent for charity and gift-giving.

Discuss mutual expectations about university costs and identify what they can help fund and set goals. Don’t pay for everything, so they can experience the pride of contributing.
Young adulthood (19 - 22 years)
Discuss post-graduation plans and future life goals, quantify expenses such as first apartment, work wardrobe, holidays and help them continue to save towards these goals.

Real estate tokenisation project
Dubai launched the pilot phase of its real estate tokenisation project last month.
The initiative focuses on converting real estate assets into digital tokens recorded on blockchain technology and helps in streamlining the process of buying, selling and investing, the Dubai Land Department said.
Dubai’s real estate tokenisation market is projected to reach Dh60 billion ($16.33 billion) by 2033, representing 7 per cent of the emirate’s total property transactions, according to the DLD.
