An own goal in added time from Mohammed Qasim, the Dibba centre-back, handed Al Wahda a lifeline in their 3-3 draw in the Arabian Gulf Cup at the Fujairah stadium.
It was the second time the Abu Dhabi club rallied from two goals down after a similar result at home in their cup opener against Fujairah 10 days ago.
Bakary Kone, the diminutive Ivorian forward, scored twice in four minutes in the first half, and Ahmed Ibrahim was on target after the break to give Dibba a 3-1 lead in the 71st minute.
Ismail Matar had curled in a free kick to close the gap 2-1 at half time, and Sebastian Tagliabue made it 3-2 with a low shot eight minutes from time.
But when it looked like Dibba had done enough, Qasim hooked a cross from Tawfeek Abdulrazaq into his own net.
Wahda played with only one foreigner, Tagliabue, and were unlucky as shots from the Argentine striker and Matar found the woodwork in the first half.
In the other early game, Wilmar Jordan had a hat-trick for Emirates club in a 4-3 victory over Al Dhafra. The Colombian scored in the first minute and was on target twice within two minutes in the second half before Rodrigo Pimpao struck the winner nine minutes from time.
Makhete Diop cancelled the home side’s lead, and Abdulraheem Jumaa put Dhafra ahead on the stroke of half time. Khaleel Abdulla extended the lead seven minutes into the second half before Emirates struck.
In Sharjah, Matias Donoso salvaged a point for hosts Al Shaab with a diving header as they drew 1-1 with Al Ahli. Rodrigo Lima scored for the visitors.

Real estate tokenisation project
Dubai launched the pilot phase of its real estate tokenisation project last month.
The initiative focuses on converting real estate assets into digital tokens recorded on blockchain technology and helps in streamlining the process of buying, selling and investing, the Dubai Land Department said.
Dubai’s real estate tokenisation market is projected to reach Dh60 billion ($16.33 billion) by 2033, representing 7 per cent of the emirate’s total property transactions, according to the DLD.
