On today's update, we have the latest coronavirus cases, the authorities urged the public to abide by safety measures over the holiday season and Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed has invited Israeli president Reuven Rivlin to the UAE.

The UAE extended its amnesty for expired visas, Bahrain's King Hamad arrived in the country and in the US the Trump administration announced the withdrawal of troops from Iraq and Afghanistan.
