The UAE will take steps to reopen its embassy in Lebanon, three years after it closed.
President Sheikh Mohamed congratulated Lebanon’s newly elected President Joseph Aoun and wished him success in leading the country and fulfilling the aspirations of its people. During a telephone call, the leaders agreed to take steps to reopen the UAE’s embassy in Beirut.
A UAE aid ship carrying 3,000 tonnes of supplies arrived in Lebanon on Sunday as part of a humanitarian drive to support civilians in the country. The delivery to Beirut Port included food items, essential goods for women and children, winter provisions and shelter equipment.
The shipment marks a continuation of a UAE aid campaign launched in response to Israel’s war in Lebanon.

What is graphene?
Graphene is extracted from graphite and is made up of pure carbon.
It is 200 times more resistant than steel and five times lighter than aluminum.
It conducts electricity better than any other material at room temperature.
It is thought that graphene could boost the useful life of batteries by 10 per cent.
Graphene can also detect cancer cells in the early stages of the disease.
The material was first discovered when Andre Geim and Konstantin Novoselov were 'playing' with graphite at the University of Manchester in 2004.
