I write in reference to Arthur MacMillan's article Bernie Sanders denounces Netanyahu's 'racist' policies and signals shift on aid (October 29). I would vote for Bernie just for this important policy.

Negative emotions and grudges can weigh you down
With reference to Justin Thomas's article When a red mist descends: how the age of rage could be killing you (August 25), holding onto a grudge is bad for your health. It is not easy to control our minds, especially when we are hurt or someone has wronged us. When we try to forget something or someone upsetting us, it tends to come back even more forcefully. The solution is to stay busy, go for a walk, read a book, listen to music, watch a movie or speak to a friend. You can also write it down, then tear it up and throw it away.
Negative emotions and grudges can weigh you down and lead to further bitterness, destruction, anger or even depression. A grudge makes you a prisoner in your own virtual cell. Break free and enjoy your life. Forgive, even if the other person is not ready to make up.

January will be the perfect time to visit Dubai and see Miracle Garden
I write in reference to Emma Day's article Dubai Miracle Garden to come into bloom for a new season next month (October 28). This looks amazing. January will be the perfect time to visit for foreigners.

It’s amazing that Abu Dhabi has retained old waterfront buildings
I write in reference to John Dennehy's article Beach Rotana: the 1990s hotel that electrified Abu Dhabi (October 28). It's awesome that Abu Dhabi keeps them. In Dubai we have lost most of the old ones including the iconic Chicago Beach Hotel.

Why can’t motorists give way to emergency vehicles?
I write in reference to your article Dubai emergency services to blast warning through motorists' radios to clear traffic (October 28). I have never understood why motorists don't give way to emergency vehicles.
