UAE President Sheikh Mohamed was on Thursday welcomed by Oman's Sultan Haitham in Salalah.
Sheikh Mohamed was received by Sultan Haitham at the Royal Airport, state news agency Wam reported. In a meeting, the two leaders discussed regional developments including Israel's attack on Hamas leaders in Qatar.
Sheikh Mohamed and Sultan Haitham emphasised that the attack represents a breach of Qatar's sovereignty, a breach of international law and a serious threat to regional security and stability.
They also expressed firm solidarity with Qatar, their support for any steps to protect its security and condemned Israel's actions. Bilateral relations were also discussed, as well as the shared commitment to strengthen integration within the Gulf.
The Emirati delegation in Salalah includes Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the Presidential Court; Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs; Sheikh Theyab bin Mohamed, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Court for Development and Fallen Heroes' Affairs; Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohamed, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Court for Special Affairs; and Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad, Adviser to the UAE President.
They were greeted by Sultan Haitham and a welcoming party of Omani ministers and officials.
Sheikh Mohamed's trip to Oman comes after he concluded visits to Qatar and Bahrain on Wednesday. Emirati and Omani leaders meet regularly in support of a deep-rooted friendship that spans several decades.
Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Ruler of Sharjah, travelled to the Omani capital in April for talks with the Sultan Haitham. The Omani leader emphasised the strong relations between the countries and the Sharjah Ruler spoke of his desire to see continued prosperity for Oman and its people.
In May, Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence, met Sultan Haitham at Al Baraka Palace in Muscat.
The meeting focused on building relations between the countries, with discussions focused on strengthening co-operation across key sectors, particularly in the economic, commercial, tourism, cultural and knowledge fields, Dubai Media Office reported at the time.

Farage on Muslim Brotherhood
Nigel Farage told Reform's annual conference that the party will proscribe the Muslim Brotherhood if he becomes Prime Minister.
"We will stop dangerous organisations with links to terrorism operating in our country," he said. "Quite why we've been so gutless about this – both Labour and Conservative – I don't know.
“All across the Middle East, countries have banned and proscribed the Muslim Brotherhood as a dangerous organisation. We will do the very same.”
It is 10 years since a ground-breaking report into the Muslim Brotherhood by Sir John Jenkins.
Among the former diplomat's findings was an assessment that “the use of extreme violence in the pursuit of the perfect Islamic society” has “never been institutionally disowned” by the movement.
The prime minister at the time, David Cameron, who commissioned the report, said membership or association with the Muslim Brotherhood was a "possible indicator of extremism" but it would not be banned.
