The UAE has carried out its 71st drop of humanitarian aid into Gaza, with the co-operation of Jordan and the involvement of Germany, Italy, Belgium and France.
The aid drop consisted of essential food supplies sent by UAE-based charities, state news agency Wam reported.
The completion of the latest aid drop brings the total sent from the UAE under the operation to more than 3,950 tonnes.
The figure underscores the UAE’s steadfast commitment to supporting the Palestinian people and bolstering their resilience, Wam said.
The Orwell Prize for Political Writing
Twelve books were longlisted for The Orwell Prize for Political Writing. The non-fiction works cover various themes from education, gender bias, and the environment to surveillance and political power. Some of the books that made it to the non-fiction longlist include:
