Hamas has named the four female Israeli hostages to be released on Saturday as Karina Ariev, 20, Daniella Gilboa, 20, Naama Levy, 20, and Liri Albag, 19.
The hostages are to be freed from Gaza in exchange for the release of hundreds of Palestinians imprisoned or detained by Israel. All four are soldiers in Israel's military, leaving behind one soldier, Agam Berger, and two female civilians – Arbel Yehud and Shiri Bibas. Ms Bibas was abducted alongside her children Kfir and Ariel.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's office said it had received a list but did not confirm the names, adding it would comment later.
The Hostage and Missing Families Forum in Israel confirmed the names of the four people to be released.
Under the terms of a multi-stage ceasefire deal to bring the devastating conflict in Gaza to a close, 33 Israeli hostages are to be freed over a six-week period in exchange for about 2,000 Palestinian detainees in Israeli prisons.
In a subsequent phase, the two sides would negotiate the exchange of the remaining hostages and the withdrawal of Israeli forces from Gaza, which lies largely in ruins after 15 months of fighting and Israeli bombardment.
Saturday will mark the second such exchange since the ceasefire began on January 19, after Romi Gonen, Emily Damari and Doron Steinbrecher were freed last week.
The war in Gaza was sparked by a Hamas attack on southern Israel in which the group killed 1,200 people and took 250 hostage. Israel says 94 Israelis and foreigners remain held in Gaza, where more than 47,000 people have been killed since the war began in November 2023. It is not known how many of the hostages have died or been killed.
Hamas released 105 hostages in exchange for Palestinian detainees during a week-long ceasefire in November 2023.
Israel is expected to free 50 Palestinian prisoners for each of the released soldiers, but it has not yet furnished a list of those planned for release on Saturday.
The women to be freed this week featured in a video released by the Palestinian militant group in May 2024, showing five women with bloodied faces surrounded by militants from the group.
As well as freeing more Palestinian prisoners, Israel is expected to allow Palestinians displaced to southern Gaza to start returning to their homes in the north after the latest hostage release.
