Sheikh Shakhbout bin Nahyan, UAE Minister of State, received Yemen's new Foreign Minister, Ahmed Awad bin Mubarak, on Saturday.
Sheikh Shakhbout and Mr bin Mubarak discussed bilateral relations between the two countries and the latest regional developments, state news agency Wam reported.
Sheikh Shakhbout assured Mr bin Mubarak of the UAE's support for development and stability in Yemen, Wam said.
Mr bin Mubarak, formerly Yemen’s ambassador to the US, was appointed foreign minister in a new unity government announced by President Abdrabu Mansur Hadi in December.
