Al Nashash, 38, began to lose his sight at the age of 14 and by the time he was 18 could no longer see.

It was only after losing his sight that he realised his talent for running. He joined a club for the visually impaired in 2010 and went on to carve out a career in athletics.

He has represented Jordan in the Paralympics and is a member of the Al Ataa club with whom he has won many trophies in local, regional and international competitions.
