Yas Marina Fireworks
Yas Marina presents three days of festivities to celebrate Eid Al Adha, including a variety of culinary experiences from the marina’s restaurants and food trucks, as well as fireworks at 9pm daily and a one-hour fireworks fun cruise with Captain Tony’s.

Spend the day at the Meraas waterfront destinations, The Beach, Al Seef and La Mer, over the three days of Eid Al Adha and enjoy fireworks displays every night. The Beach offers a bustling seaside venue with shops, food, watersports and walkways. The quaint Al Seef is a 1.8-kilometre creekside promenade with two distinct heritage areas, a marina and markets. The laid-back vibe at La Mer includes dining, shopping and leisure in three areas across 2.5 kilometres of pristine beach, with a waterpark and inflatable playground.

A little about CVRL
Founded in 1985 by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, Vice President and Ruler of Dubai, the Central Veterinary Research Laboratory (CVRL) is a government diagnostic centre that provides testing and research facilities to the UAE and neighbouring countries.
One of its main goals is to provide permanent treatment solutions for veterinary related diseases.
The taxidermy centre was established 12 years ago and is headed by Dr Ulrich Wernery.

The rules on fostering in the UAE
A foster couple or family must:
- be Muslim, Emirati and be residing in the UAE
- not be younger than 25 years old
- not have been convicted of offences or crimes involving moral turpitude
- be free of infectious diseases or psychological and mental disorders
- have the ability to support its members and the foster child financially
- undertake to treat and raise the child in a proper manner and take care of his or her health and well-being
- A single, divorced or widowed Muslim Emirati female, residing in the UAE may apply to foster a child if she is at least 30 years old and able to support the child financially

Plan to boost public schools
A major shake-up of government-run schools was rolled out across the country in 2017. Known as the Emirati School Model, it placed more emphasis on maths and science while also adding practical skills to the curriculum.
It was accompanied by the promise of a Dh5 billion investment, over six years, to pay for state-of-the-art infrastructure improvements.
Aspects of the school model will be extended to international private schools, the education minister has previously suggested.
Recent developments have also included the introduction of moral education - which public and private schools both must teach - along with reform of the exams system and tougher teacher licensing requirements.
