This year's unusual awards season will come to a close on Sunday, with the industry's biggest night – the Oscars.

While not all nominees will be able to walk away with a coveted trophy, they will not be going home empty-handed. For the 19th year in a row, the top 25 nominees will receive a goodie bag with a six-figure value.

Who will receive a goody bag at this year's Oscars?

The "Everyone Wins" nominee gift bag is put together by Distinctive Assets, which will deliver them to the nominees across the top categories, including Best Actor and Actress, Best Supporting Actor and Actress, and Best Director.

That means this year's recipients will include the likes of Anthony Hopkins, Olivia Colman, Amanda Seyfried, Sacha Baron Cohen, Riz Ahmed, Viola Davis, Andra Day and Carey Mulligan.

What is in this year's goody bag?

The bag has an estimated value of $200,000 and will include items such as the Postmates Don't Cookbook, which allows recipients to order from local restaurants using a QR code; a four-night stay at the Golden Spa; a consultation and plastic surgery procedure at Art Lipo; a personal training session with celebrity trainer Alexis Seletzky; personalised investment advice from a venture capitalist; a three-night stay at Swedish coastal resort Pater Noster Lighthouse; and a Peta emergency hammer to save dogs trapped in hot cars.

There will also be loungewear by the brand Cozy Earth, made from sustainably sourced silk and bamboo; as well as vegan bath bombs by Hotsy Totsy Haus; and Loci sneakers made from recycled plastic.

Other items include anti-racist children's book Change-Maker Village, as Distinctive Assets said it looked to diversify this year's goodie bags, working with companies that "embrace diversity, inclusion, health and philanthropy".

Why this year's contents are 'particularly special'

“While the end result may look at first glance like the same cornucopia of fabulous gifts we always assemble, this year’s contents are particularly special. The companies we are featuring embrace diversity, inclusion, health and philanthropy and are giving back to their communities and the world at large in significant ways,” Lash Fary, the founder of Distinctive Assets, said.

“A great gift has nothing to do with a price tag,” Fary added. “This year’s ‘Everyone Wins’ gift bag is one of my favourites we have ever assembled because it represents a lot more than just a bag full of free stuff. I am truly excited for the nominees to experience it.”

While the exact value of this year's gift bags has not been revealed, Forbes estimated that last year's nominees walked away with gifts worth $225,000.

Distinctive Assets’s goodie bags are handed out privately to nominees, and are not affiliated with the Academy.
