5 healthy things to do this weekend: take your children to Just Be Kid Open Day, meditate at Lululemon, join Talise Spa

Register your children for the Just Be Kid Open Day, which features self-empowerment and self-actualisation workshops and talks led by a team of experts and offered as a taster for a new set of holistic wellness programmes for kids. The classes run from 10am to 5pm on Saturday and are designed to engage children's senses and an opportunity for parents to grow closer to their children as they provide them the tools to lead healthy lives. The kids' yoga sessions led by yoga instructor Nerry Toledo are specific for two age groups. Children ages 4-7 can take part in the Jungle Adventure, which mixes games, breathing and posture aimed to encourage children to connect with the natural world through poses that mimic animals and objects in nature. Children ages 8 and older can take part in Grab a Friend, a partner yoga session that encourages children to be present in self and energy and to help them engage with the community by forming human connections and developing empathy and compassion. Saturday, 10am to 10.30am and 11.45am to 12.15pm for Jungle Adventure, ages 4-7; 12.55pm to 1.25pm and 2.05pm to 2.35pm for Grab a Friend, ages 8+, free with registration, Just Be Holistic Centre, Al Woushar Street, Umm Suqeim, Dubai, 050 747 8066, www.facebook.com/justbeuae
