Jennifer Aniston has taken to Instagram to speak about cutting off friends and colleagues who refuse to be vaccinated against Covid-19.

In an interview with InStyle, released on Thursday, the Friends star said, "There's still a large group of people who are anti-vaxxers or just don't listen to the facts. It's a real shame.

"I've just lost a few people in my weekly routine who have refused or did not disclose [whether or not they had been vaccinated], and it was unfortunate."

She said that she thinks it is the individual's "moral and professional obligation to inform." "Everyone is entitled to their own opinion – but a lot of opinions don't feel based in anything except fear or propaganda," she said.

Since the interview was published, Aniston, 52, clarified her comments on Instagram when followers suggested that she had no reason to worry, given the fact she had been vaccinated.

"Because if you have the variant, you are still able to give it to me," she said in an Instagram story post on Thursday.

"I may get slightly sick but I will not be admitted to a hospital and or die. But I can give it to someone else who does not have the vaccine and whose health is compromised (or has a previous existing condition) – and therefore I would put their lives at risk."

On May 7, Aniston posted on Instagram that she was "fully vaccinated and it feels so good."

"We are extremely lucky and privileged to have access to Covid-19 vaccines in the US right now. Unfortunately, that’s not the case everywhere ... and as we know, the health of one of us affects all of us," she wrote.

"Thinking about those who do not or will not have the opportunity to get vaccinated and hug their friends and family. See more in my bio for ways to help those who need it during this crisis."

Speaking of her mental health during lockdown, she told InStyle: "My level of anxiety has gone down by eliminating the unnecessary sort of fat in life that I had thought was necessary. Also realising that you can't please everybody. And what good does that do if you're just little bits of yourself?"
