Emirates is resuming flights to neighbouring Oman from October 2.
The Dubai airline is restarting services to Muscat with two weekly flights departing the UAE on Sundays and Fridays.
The one-hour flight will depart Dubai at 2.15am, landing in the Omani capital at 3.30am. The return leg will leave Muscat at 4.40am, getting travellers back to the UAE just before 6am. Flights will be operated via a Boeing 777-300. One-way economy fares start from Dh860 ($234).
Travellers flying to Muscat will have their temperatures checked and may be tested for Covid-19 upon arrival. All arriving passengers must quarantine for 14 days once in the sultanate and some passengers may be required to pay for tracking bracelets to wear during this time.
Flights resumed to 94 destinations
Emirates is boosting its African network by restarting flights to Uganda.
The airline will fly three times per week to Entebbe on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays. Flights will leave Dubai at 10.30am and land in the peninsula city of Entebbe at 3pm. Return services leave Uganda at 5pm to arrive in Dubai at 11.35pm.
The addition of Entebbe means that Emirates is now flying to 20 destinations across Africa. The resumption of both services will take the network to 94 destinations across the world. Last week, the airline announced it would be restarting flights to destinations across South Africa, as well as Zimbabwe and Mauritius.
Travellers booking flights until the end of September can book with flexible ticket policies that allow a change of date or destination without any additional charge. This applies to flights departing before Tuesday, March 30, 2021.
Travellers to Dubai are welcome as the city has reopened to tourists. All travellers need a negative Covid-19 PCR test before landing in the UAE. Transit passengers can also fly with Emirates to Dubai, but will also need negative Covid-19 PCR certificates.
