Emirates is set to fly more frequently to Europe.

The Dubai airline has announced the resumption of flights to five more cities on the continent. This will mean the airline is flying to 31 European destinations, most of them several times per week.

Emirates will resume flights to Hungary from Wednesday, October 21. It will fly twice per week from Dubai to Budapest with flights on Wednesdays and Saturdays.

From Sunday, November 1, the airline will resume twice-weekly services to Bologna in northern Italy and to Germany's Dusseldorf and Hamburg. These flights will operate on Fridays and Saturdays.

Flights to Lyon, in France's Auvergne-Rhone-Alpes region, will restart on Wednesday, November 4. Services are scheduled for Wednesdays and Saturdays from Dubai. All Emirates flights on these newly resumed services will operate via a Boeing 777-300ER.

The Dubai airline is now flying to 99 destinations around the world. Emirates has been gradually restarting services during the global pandemic and has resumed almost 70 per cent of its pre-Covid passenger network.

Emirates has also implemented new health and safety measures on all flights. These include complimentary hygiene kits for customers, personal protective equipment for crew and restricted food and drinks services to cut down on interaction.

The airline is also offering all travellers free Covid-19 medical cover.
