Atlantis, The Palm has announced it will cover the cost of guests' departure Covid-19 PCR tests when they stay for five nights or more at the Dubai hotel.
As many global travellers are required to take a PCR test before departing for the UAE, the Palm Jumeirah hotel has said it will give back the full cost of the tests for two guests per room to spend as in-resort credit. The offer is valid from now until April 30, 2021.
That means that the cost of tests up to $190 (Dh700) each will be valid to spend on anything at the family-friendly resort, including food and beverages, spa treatments or marine and waterpark experiences.
"We are continuously evolving to meet the needs of our customers during this challenging time," said Timothy Kelly, executive vice president and managing director at Atlantis.
"We hope this will continue to reduce any travel inconveniences and encourage more guests from across the globe to visit Dubai’s premier entertainment destination."
Adhering to international and regional health and safety standards amid the coronavirus pandemic, the hotel has been granted the internationally certified safeguard label by Bureau Veritas, as well as issued the safety seal of approval by the Dubai government – the Dubai Assured stamp.
In August, the hotel started to offer free Covid-19 tests to international tourists before checking out. If guests are staying for five nights or more, tests before leaving the resort are still free, a spokesperson confirmed to The National.
The hotel has partnered with a local UAE clinic to offer guests the option to take the test without having to leave the resort.
"Using our on-site medical centre, the new PCR tests will help to reduce any travel inconveniences and encourage more international guests to visit," said Kelly at the time.
