Catch a free performance by Deaf Men Dancing on the Dubai Opera Promenade. The dance company consists of male professional deaf dancers and will make its UAE debut with the production Embrace, which tells the story of two strangers who discover the only way they are able to embrace is through tango and sign language.

Arsnecopinata opens today at La Parole Art Gallery. This exhibition by Abu Dhabi-based German artist Katharina Moeller, curated by Claude Habib, features images primarily in monochrome in ink and graphite, acrylics and sand. The film, directed by Sophie Boutros, follows Therese (Julia Kassar), who lives in a Lebanese village, as she prepares for a visit from her daughter's suitor and his parents. Comic Craze continues at Al Qattara Arts Centre. See comic-strip artworks created by members of the UAE’s flourishing community of graphic artists. The works showcase examples of techniques and materials, from videos and animated films to comic books and website comics. The exhibition also aims to raise awareness of issues crucial in the development of local society and to inspire the younger generation in developing an interest in the arts.
