How to watch the Eid Al Fitr 2022 Burj Khalifa and Dubai Fountain shows

Never-before-seen displays are taking place throughout the holiday

Throughout the long weekend for Eid Al Fitr 2022, there are new shows taking place at Burj Khalifa and the Dubai Fountain.

A dazzling, never-before-seen LED light display is illuminating the world's tallest tower, taking place at 8pm every night to mark the end of Ramadan.

Downtown Dubai visitors can also catch the new choreographed Dubai Fountain shows every hour between 2pm and 5pm, then every 30 minutes between 6pm and 11pm.

The Dubai Fountain is one of the world's largest choreographed fountains, which daily performs shows set to music.

Both performances promise to give onlookers "an unforgettable experience", said property developer Emaar.

Visitors looking to see the shows can gain access to these via The Dubai Mall, Souk Al Bahar and Burj Khalifa.

They are free to watch.

Firework displays across the UAE

Among the Eid festivities are free firework displays throughout the Emirates.

Yas Bay will have fireworks over the first three days of Eid, starting at 9pm. In addition to the pyrotechnics show, there will also be Eid concerts at Etihad Arena, which include Amr Diab on Tuesday and Sherine Abdel-Wahab and Kadim Al Sahir on Wednesday.

Visit The Pointe on Palm Jumeirah to see a fountain show and a fireworks display on the first day of Eid on Monday at 9pm.

Bluewaters Island will have a fireworks show on the second day of Eid at 9pm.

Festival Bay at Dubai Festival City Mall will host a spectacular three-minute fireworks show on Tuesday at 9pm. It will take place alongside Imagine, a colourful light, laser and sound show. There will also be a ticketed concert by Nassif Zeytoun and Rahma Riad taking place on the South Side. Tickets start at Dh195.

The family favourite destination will have a fireworks display every day over Eid, starting from 9pm. The attraction will also extend its opening hours from 5pm until 2am from Saturday, until it closes its doors on May 7.

Difference between fractional ownership and timeshare

Chef Nobu's advice for eating sushi

“One mistake people always make is adding extra wasabi. There is no need for this, because it should already be there between the rice and the fish.
“When eating nigiri, you must dip the fish – not the rice – in soy sauce, otherwise the rice will collapse. Also, don’t use too much soy sauce or it will make you thirsty. For sushi rolls, dip a little of the rice-covered roll lightly in soy sauce and eat in one bite.
“Chopsticks are acceptable, but really, I recommend using your fingers for sushi. Do use chopsticks for sashimi, though.
“The ginger should be eaten separately as a palette cleanser and used to clear the mouth when switching between different pieces of fish.”
