It helps to be Amitabh Bachchan's daughter, as Shweta Bachchan-Nanda found out at the launch of her fashion label MxS, in Mumbai on September 1.
The opening party hosted not only the who's who of Bollywood, but also welcomed some half-forgotten faces, as well as both Tina and Nita Ambani.
Shweta was also surrounded by her doting family - reticent mum Jaya Bachchan looked proud, while brother Abhishek and his wife Aishwarya put in an appearance together, despite rumours that the duo are estranged. Amitabh Bachchan played the doting dad to the tee, and was spotted carrying shopping bags at one point.
MxS is a collaboration between Shweta and designer of the moment Monisha Jaising. The label is being branded as "luxury pret", and will feature designs that are both glamorous and playful. Some of the clothing includes: rainbow-striped trackpants; sweatshirts embroidered with "Airplane Mode"; a black leather skirt with graffiti-art slogans; evil-eye T-shirts, hand-pleated skirts in metallic shades; and tea-length dress in crochet work.
