Prince William shares update on grandfather Prince Philip's condition: 'He’s OK, they’re keeping an eye on him'

During a visit to a UK vaccination centre, Prince William reassured a group of photographers about his grandfather Prince Philip's health, who is in hospital in London . When asked by royal photographer Arthur Edwards how the Duke of Edinburgh, 99, was doing, Prince William replied, "Yes, he's OK, they're keeping an eye on him". He then reportedly gave a warm smile. Prince William was visiting a vaccination centre in King's Lynn, Norfolk, close to his family's Anmer Hall home where they have been staying during the UK lockdown. He was at the centre to thank them for their efforts during the roll-out of the Covid-19 vaccine. Prince Philip has now spent six nights at the King Edward VII's Hospital in London. He was first admitted on February 16, after falling ill with an ailment that is not related to the coronavirus. Both Prince Philip and Queen Elizabeth II, 94, received their first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine in January. "The Duke's admission is a precautionary measure, on the advice of His Royal Highness's doctor, after feeling unwell," a spokesman said last Wednesday. "The Duke is expected to remain in hospital for a few days of observation and rest." At the weekend, Prince Philip's son, Prince Charles, visited him in hospital . Prince Philip, who retired from official engagements in 2017, spent four nights at the same hospital at the end of 2019.
