Fans of futuristic motors can now get a close look at three BMW concept vehicles that have gone on display at the newly opened AGMC Motor City Showroom in Dubai.
The trio comprises two hybrid cars and an electric bike, and they’re known as the 3.0 CSL Hommage, the Vision M Next and Motorrad Vision DC Roadster.
The vehicles are part of BMW's #NEXTGen initiative. A series of the company's pioneering concepts received an unveiling at a digital launch, also in Dubai, in 2020, but this is the first time people in the UAE will be able to see this particular group all in the same space – and not on a computer screen.
The CSL Hommage has been referred to as the Batmobile because of its distinctive rear wings. That "Hommage" name comes about as it was built as a tribute (or, indeed, homage) to a 1972 special-build model. The new version was initially released as a limited-edition design concept.
The Vision M Next is a glimpse at how BMW sees its sportiest creations taking shape. Its stylings are “future-focused”, the company says, and the external shape is notable for the wedge-shaped silhouette, gull-wing doors and striking colour scheme.
If two-wheel travel on the open road is your bag, the Motorrad Vision DC Roadster will be of interest. It is, the designers say, a “highly emotional naked bike with electric drive”, which does actually make it sound rather more appealing than your average scooter.
If you fancy having a look, you can visit the AGMC Motor City Showroom from 9am to 9pm on Saturday to Thursday, or 4pm to 9pm on Fridays.
The vehicles will be on display until Monday, March 15.
