Supercars aren’t an uncommon sight on the roads around the UAE, but it’s not always usual to see so many of them concentrated in a particular space. Especially if all the vehicles in question are bearing the same, iconic marque of a prancing horse. Petrol-heads won’t need telling we’re talking Ferraris here, and it was only fitting that the cars roared into the brand’s namesake theme park, Ferrari World Abu Dhabi, on Saturday afternoon. <strong>Take a look through the photo gallery above to see more snapshots from the day.</strong> About 100 owners and collectors, or Ferraristas, of various models produced by Italy’s most famous supercar manufacturer gathered in the venue to take part in an event the likes of which has never been seen before in the Middle East. The parade, dubbed the Ferrari Cavalcade, was part of a five-day tour across the UAE, creating a riot of colour and noise. It has previously only been held in Italy, Japan and the United States. Spectators at the venue waved flags and cheered the Ferraristas as they gunned their motors and drove more slowly around the theme park than they might have done on a track day. Drivers took a tour around Abu Dhabi before visiting Ferrari World, so spectators on the streets in the UAE capital got the chance to look longingly at the classic vehicles as well.
