If you like the sound of a Range Rover, but they’re just a little too humdrum for you, you could opt for a new offering from a company styling itself as an automotive fashion house.
For the past 30 years, UK company Kahn has been plopping luxury styling packages on to vehicles, and its latest creation is something 4x4 fans after something a little more ritzy than usual might want to take a look at.
The company is calling this newbie the (take a breath) Volcanic Rock Satin Project Kahn Range Rover Sport SVR Pace Car.
Enhancements include (take another breath) front and rear wide-wheel arches with integrated air dams, a front-vented bumper and grille with air dams, a front-bumper spoiler, black pack and paint detailing, an upgraded rear-large tailgate and number plate-panel, a three-piece roof wing including rear pillar sections, and a rear bumper valance with integrated exhausts.
They’ve had a go at the inside, too, with a whole host of reupholstery carried out.
Customers can order their Range Rover models to an exact specification, so if any of this doesn’t appeal, you don’t have to have it. If you do fancy this particular creation, though, you’ll have to part with £119,999 (Dh569,000).
Meanwhile, the production Range Rover Sport has had a series of upgrades to give what was already the brand’s zippiest model a little more pizzazz.
These new special-edition models join the existing line-up with the HSE Silver, HSE Dynamic Black and SVR Carbon Edition. The HST gains another powerful engine option with a new D350 diesel.
The D350 is just one of the latest generation of Land Rover’s new six-cylinder Ingenium diesel engines. They bring hybrid diesel technology to the Range Rover Sport for the first time. The new engines replace the V6 and V8 diesels.
The SV Premium Palette paint colour range has been refreshed with eight new colours including Tourmaline Brown, Amethyst Grey-Purple and Petrolix Blue.

Chancellor Rachel Reeves set markets on edge as she appeared visibly distraught in parliament on Wednesday.
